- I-190 from New York across the bridge into Canada. Once through customs, quickly turn right at the first exit (Niagara Pkwy). Drive to Niagara Pkwy, turn left, then go straight through the traffic circle to the parking lot beyond. You'll see the monument towering above Queenston Heights Park.

Monument to Canada's Victory over the U.S.
It's a bit tiring, but try the climb up 200+ wind-y spiral steps and imagine what it must have been like for those Victorian tourist ladies in narrow-heeled boots and skirts. There were also informative, period-dressed volunteers on hand to answer questions or pose for photos.
