The Huey helicopter destroyed by Hurricane Ivan in 2004 at the Veteran's Memorial Park has finally been replaced by an AH-1JC Cobra, painted to look like it did while in service over Vietnam. The helicopter was dedicated during the park's 15th Veterans Day Anniversary, Nov 12, 2007.[Vicki Stevison, 11/25/2007]

An exact replica (smaller scale) of "The Wall" monument in Washington, DC. "Wall South is the only permanent Vietnam Veterans Memorial outside of the nation's capital -- to list the names of all 58,217 Americans killed or missing in Southeast Asia." A popular destination for military reunion groups, Veteran's Park also contains monuments to WWII and Korean War Veterans.
