Hemphill, Texas: Remembering Columbia Museum
Many remains from the Space Shuttle Columbia landed around Hemphill on February 1, 2003. This small museum doesn't display debris, but does exhibit personal items left on earth by the crew that perished. Outside is a small model of the Shuttle on a pole.

- Part of the Patrica Huffman Smith Museum, which is part of the J.R. Huffman Public Library. Northeast side of town. On the north side of Sabine St./Hwy 87, about a quarter-mile east of Mann (not Main) St. Look for the flagpole.
