Visitor Tips and News About Old Car City, USA
A very unique stop. Give yourself plenty of time and check their hours in advance. The styrofoam cup - "doodool room" is worth tour time. Ten dollars admission unless you have a camera, then it's $15. (Not sure how he deals with phones). No debit cards, so bring cash and then plan to go across the street to Wesman's restaurant for lunch.[Dan Buck, 05/28/2013]
Packed with the classic cars motorhead's dreams are made of, a metal and nature collide in photo worthy tableaux. Do make sure to visit the cup gallery upstairs in the main building; GA PBS mentioned Deans art recently and it is quite unique! Bring you cameras; a cloudy day will garner better photos, as it is mostly in the woods and shadows obscure the cars otherwise.[Cara, 03/29/2013]
The world's largest known collection of old cars. 34 acres, (they stopped counting at 4,000) all American cars from the mid '70s and older. Started in 1931. Folk art by the owner, sculptures and signs, wonderfully eclectic. Only an hour north of Atlanta.[Richard, 04/19/2012]
