Police Car Attacked by UFO
In a museum in Warren is a rust-colored 1977 Ford LTD police car that was involved in a UFO encounter on August 27, 1979. Deputy Val Johnson claims to have seen a bright flash of light that damaged the vehicle's front headlamp, hood, windshield, beacon light, and bent two antennas. He lost consciousness and the car's clock and his wristwatch stopped for 14 minutes. The car is on display in the local museum with plenty of info about the incident.
The museum is part of Settler's Square, a complex of buildings representing a small village of the 1880s. It also features an interesting military museum.

The car is the most popular item in the museum. It left skid marks of 800 feet, Johnson suffered burns to his eyes, and the windshield was cracked without any sign of an impact. The town at first wanted to repair the car, but wisely left it just as it was.
