(1) The owner and chef, Bernd Schnerzinger, sings to the audience almost every night -- while wearing lederhosen.
(2) The in-house "oompah" band frequently employs a full-size Alpine horn and a musical
saw.
(3) A stage in the middle of the restaurant easily accommodates riotous Chicken Dancers of all ages. The restaurant sometimes makes special guests wear
chicken-shaped hats while dancing.
The Edelweiss has been around since 1967, and business shows no sign of slowing down. Neither does Bernd. [Daniel Barnett, 10/13/2001]
