A plaque at 481 Laurel Avenue notes that author F. Scott Fitzgerald was born on the second story and lived in the house until the age of two. The house is privately owned, but if the owner is outside watering his plants he might invite you in. Just half a mile away at 599 Summit Avenue is where Fitzgerald wrote his first novel, "This Side of Paradise."
