Temple, Texas: Saddam Hussein's Rug and Lamp Post
Veteran Dave Demorrow filled his 14-car garage with military memorabilia, then opened a museum in 2015. He personally gives tours of some of its 200,000 items, including tanks, missiles, and war booty taken from Saddam Hussein's palaces.

- Northeast of the city. I-35 exit 305. Turn east onto Berger Rd. Drive 1.5 miles, following Berger Rd as in bends sharply left, then right again. The museum entrance road will be on the right, along with Temple Tactical Airsoft.

Temple Museum of Modern Warfare
What a hidden treasure. The collection of World War I and World War II artifacts is amazing. We also received a 2 hour private tour from the owner. To top off a great trip we went for a ride in one of the Humvees. We left a donation and it was well worth it!
