He has moved! Now seated outside the Ute Travel plaza at the eastern part of town. Still on Main St/US 191.

A giant statue of a Native American with a headdress sits at the northwest corner of Main Street and 800 E. in Roosevelt. He is seated in front of a nail salon, but the building previously housed the Moqui Indian Trading Post.

The Indian (Chief Moqui?) was built out of cement by Darrell Gardner in the early 1970s. The Trading Post went out of business in 2008, but a local group rallied to save the statue.
