Flynn's Creek Impact Crater

A 360 million year old impact crater site was used by NASA to train astronauts for the Apollo missions. The cliff faces show evidence of impact next to a beautiful creek, just off the road.

[Mrs Janie M Luther-Polheber, 03/09/2016]

It doesn't look like a classic crater because it's "buried beneath younger rocks." A historical marker notes the Apollo astronaut training claim.
