Cincinnati, Ohio: Psychedelic Rosemary Clooney Mural (Gone)

Strobing in jagged patterned colors, Clooney was a Cincinnati native known for her hit, "Come On-A My House," and her role in the film "White Christmas." A new, boring building was built next door in 2021 and covered the mural -- but it's still there.

Directions:
North edge of downtown. On the north side of W. Liberty St. just east of its intersection with Pleasant St. The lot in front of the mural is fenced off. The lot in front of the mural is undergoing construction that may cover it.

Psychedelic Rosemary Clooney Mural

A new building has been built in front of the mural and it can no longer be seen. There is a small open space behind the new buildings and you can see that the mural is still there, but you can't really see any of it.

Fifty years from now when that boring building is bulldozed, the mural will reappear to mesmerize a generation not yet born.

Within walking distance south of Findley Market, there is a building-size mural of Hollywood icon and singer Rosemary Clooney, perhaps most famous for her role in the film "White Christmas." Only a couple blocks west of a James Brown building mural.

Clooney, who is also the aunt of actor George Clooney, won an online competition to be the Cincinnati woman honored with a mural. It was completed in August 2016.
