Snowball Throwing Polar Bears
Cute place to get ice cream on a fall evening day.
[M Lange, 10/16/2020]Snowball Throwing Polar Bears
I found another set of snowball throwing polar bears, this time in front of an ice cream stand in Nesbit. They look identical to the pair in Nashville, except that these two are on pedestals that light up at night, and they are aiming the snowballs toward the road rather than at each other.
The polar bears were mascots of a frozen custard company that had shops in Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and I believe Alabama, in the 1930s.
