Directions:
I-17 exit 207. East on Dunlap Ave. for three miles. Turn north onto Cave Creek Rd for one mile. Turn right onto E. Cheryl Drive (a small street), then an immediate right onto N. 13th Place. The Garden is halfway down the block, on the north side.
Hours:
1st Friday of month 2-6 pm.

Reports say that the new owners of the Sunnyslope Rock Garden property will now open the garden every first Friday of the month for a few hours. It has already started. [Joy, 02/24/2011]

[RA: We revisited Sunnyslope Rock Garden a few years ago, and it was the same situation. Not sure if this should be removed from the maps, but it technically is visible... from an annoying distance.]

Sunnyslope Rock Garden is still closed to the public and looks kind of neglected, but it doesn't really look any worse off than it did the last time I saw it five years ago. It's just kind of there -- not being maintained, but it's not really falling apart either. [Dean Jeffrey, 02/27/2008]

[RA: Last summer we peered over the fence and noted the same. Disappointed we couldn't tour, but stasis in the Phoenix climate is better than a misguided homeowner plowing it all under....]

The way things disappear. The exceptionally charming and gracious Marion Blake has retired and the Garden has been given to University of Arizona. Who knows where these things will end up? It was lovely when I visited in May and will be lovely for a short time afterward. [Ames Montgomery, 07/01/2002]
