The Real Captain Hook's Grave

Found at the old Brick Church Cemetery is the unique tomb of Captain Isaac Newton Hook (1819-1906). Hook, a river pilot at age 10, later became U.S. Master of Inland Navigation, running supplies for the Union Army on the Tennessee and Cumberland River. Hook's eccentric beliefs are framed above his even more eccentric tomb.
