Steel beams from the 33rd to 36th floors of the North Tower of the World Trade Center support a flagpole formerly on the front lawn of a brick company. Company liquidated in 2015; ill-conceived auction of memorial cancelled. Town instead moved it to the Fire Dept.

The Old Virgina Brick Company has erected a monument to the World Trade Center: A flagpole made from a steel beam from the rubble of the towers. It's easily visible from west main street in Salem.
