The Soldier's Shrine
The Soldier's Shrine, built in 1942, was the first U.S. memorial dedicated to the veterans of World War II. The shrine was built with stones from surrounding farm fields, by the parishioners of St. Hedwig's Church (which is across the street) and the community. Features Jesus, four angels, and many lambs.
