Smokesax: 70-Foot-Tall Saxophone
Named "Smokesax," it's a one-of-a-kind sax made of old VW car parts by artist Bob "Daddy-O" Wade. Moved into storage March 2013.

The Orange Show Foundation has acquired the Blue Sax, Also called "Smokesax" and will be moving it into a storage facility on Munger street between downtown and Hobby Airport. It will be installed on the Orange Show's East end property, although an exact site is yet to be determined.

I stopped by recently and the new owner of the property was there, renovating the building. He said that he is fully renovating the sculpture - removing rust, repairing broken glass, and repainting it blue - and that a new bar will be opening on the site in fall of 2009.
