Folk artist Mike Goggans has a shiny silver robot named Lirpa Anad Nitsud out by the road. More sculptures are hidden behind a fence, including the towering Junkosaurus.

- From downtown Fort Payne (US Hwy 11) turn east at the stoplight onto Hwy 35/5th Ave. SE. Follow it up the mountain for 2.5 miles. At the blinker light, turn left (north) onto Hwy 89/DeSoto Pkwy. Drive 2.5 miles. You'll come to a blinker light with a Shell station on the right. You'll see the shiny robot on the left. Junkosaurus is behind it, hidden behind a tree.

This couple loved their daughter so much that they built her dream brick playhouse for her grave. It is emotionally moving and beautiful. It is filled with toys, a picture of her birthday party, a Christmas Tree, a bicycle, and more. I wish I knew more of their personal story.

Constantly evolving urban art made from garbage, coastal flotsam and smashed concrete debris found on The Bulb. The squatters and anonymous artists have been evicted before, but encampments are scattered in the brush and crannies.

- I-80 Buchanan exit. Turn toward SF Bay (go past the race track). Park, don't leave valuables in your car. Continue walking until you come to a convergence of trails. Turn right (north) until you get to the bay. Watch for locals and sculptures on the way. Debris can be unstable, walk with caution.

An elaborate pair of large sculptures included tributes to the legendary protests of Berkeley. The statues were taken down in Nov. 2020.

Nadine Earles was four years old when she died just before Christmas 1933. She had wanted a dollhouse, so her parents had one built next to her grave and filled it with her toys.
