20,000 square foot museum exhibits the bones of huge prehistoric creatures. Peek through windows into the fossil lab where paleontologists assemble dinosaurs. Full-color outdoor dino statues got us to stop.

You have to look closely, but there are tons of tracks. The walk itself is also beautiful and remote.

- Werner Valley Rd, Washington County, UT
- Directions:
- I-15 exit 2. Drive east on Southern Pkwy for 10 miles to Werner Valley Rd. Travel east on Werner Valley Rd for eight miles to an unnamed dirt road to the left. Follow the dirt road a half-mile to the parking lot. Werner Valley Rd is a well-maintained dirt road, but should not be traveled when raining.

Dinosaur skeletons and animatronic dinosaurs, too. Has what may be the world's largest Triceratops skull as well as a Fruitadens, the smallest known dinosaur. Also here: a working paleontology lab, a simulated earthquake ride, and a sandbox where you can make your own dinosaur tracks. A truck parked out front has been customized to resemble a horned dinosaur.

Artist Erika Nelson caught the roadside bug and has built her own museum of mostly miniature tourist landmark tributes.

Paul Johnson collected 3,479 pencil sharpeners and kept them in a one-room museum-shed in his yard. He died July 2010. His shed was moved into town, remodeled, and reopened in January 2024. Now displays over 5,000 sharpeners.
