Golf Ball House

While you can't actually go in the house, it's fun to look at from the outside. There is an alien themed assortment of oddities in the parking lot and a small convenience store.

Sitting in the middle of nowhere and visible from a distance on the highway, this is an easy and fun stop off I-40.

Originally called the "Dine-o-sphere"... Recently renamed "Area 66" with an alien-themed decor. Owners said it is being renovated for public use in the next few months.

The Golf Ball House has been set up with a store on the grounds. Didn't stop, but saw it four times on a recent trip. Read it was once part of a real estate deal -- explains weird shapes man has made to the grounds (east of the Golf Ball on I-40) near it.

Dinosphere.

Golf Ball House

This odd structure looks like a cross between a giant golf ball and a spaceship, It has three levels and measures 40 feet in diameter. Lake Havasu Estates built it in 1976 as a restaurant and cocktail lounge for a land developer. The company went bankrupt, however, and the sphere now serves as a private home. The owner has added aliens walking up the ramp and space ships. It's not open to the public.
