Canyon, Texas: Combine City - Cadillac Ranch in Tractors

Retired combine tractors are sunk at an angle in a remote farm field, a spoof of Amarillo's Cadillac Ranch. Is there no end to vehicle upending humor?

This was interesting. Not as fun as Cadillac Ranch (or Slug Bug Ranch) because you can't spray paint anything. But my son loves farm equipment, so we took a few pics.

Almost missed this interesting counter-point to Cadillac Ranch. While enough to make us stop and look, it was VERY disappointing that we couldn't walk up to the display due to the barbed wire fence surrounding it.

Tractor Version of Cadillac Ranch

There's a sign in the field that announces the place as "Combine City" and that it is -- a dozen combines upended in the corner of a field. No access to the field, so unlike at Cadillac Ranch, it appears spray painters are not invited.

A humorous counterpart to the Cadillac Ranch [only with farm equipment half-buried]. I passed it on the way to Palo Duro Canyon. There was no indication who owned the land or who had created the "attraction."
