Conestoga, Pennsylvania - Big Cow

An update about the Big Cow: there's a school up the road from us in Manheim that has a benefit auction and chicken barbecue every year. For the second year in a row, the Turkey Hill cow has made an appearance. This year, we took pictures! I'm including the second picture to show the speaker under its chin. I guess it speaks or makes some sort of noise, but we've never heard it udder a sound. ;o) [Faith Musngi, 04/30/2008]

The Big Cow reported outside the Harrisburg Farm Show grounds indeed belongs to Turkey Hill Dairies. This past summer they were promoting their new ice cream variety, Duettes, a swirl of ice cream and sorbet. The cow was painted white with a large red swirl on its side and made appearances all over Lancaster county. We saw it in Lititz and Manheim. [Faith Musngi, 02/21/2008]
