Standin' on the Corner Park

Peaceful, Easy Feelin!! Small, but really well done. The folks in the gift shop were kind and gracious. The real Ford flatbed pickup was a bonus. Worth a stop, although we wish the ice cream store on the corner was open.

Just a quick stop through. Great gift shop just across the street. Even open Sunday mornings.

That gift shop knows that it's always a good time for someone to stand on a corner in Winslow.

Standin' on the Corner Park

Standin' on the Corner Park is a fun little place to stop, not too far off the 40. Good for a photo op and that's about it... Of course listen to The Eagles on your way there!

Reflection? Hallucination?

Standin' on a Corner Park

Just there Sept. 2010 -- the girl isn't driving a right-hand drive truck; that is a reflection. There's no bulldog in the back of the real truck now. Although the window showing the back of the truck was boarded up (vandals maybe?).

Standing on the Corner

Before Standing on the Corner park was put in, people would stop at any corner in Winslow and have their photo taken. I live on the west side of town and often saw people standing on any corner that had Winslow in the name to have their photo taken.

For some reason, the girl in the flat bed truck mural is driving a RIGHT HAND DRIVE truck. She is going south, about to turn RIGHT (west) on a one way street going east and is leaning out the driver's window of the truck, the only way this could be is if it was a right hand drive truck.

Or a mirror-image universe inside the mural!
