Giant Camera - Camera Obscura
The Giant Camera is a camera obscura, which projects a 360 degree view of the beautiful Pacific Ocean views at the Cliff House, Seal Rocks and other sites on a giant parabolic disc. It was built in 1946 by Floyd Jennings to resemble a giant Brownie style camera in keeping with the style of classic roadside attractions. Today the Giant Camera is the last remnant of the Playland at the Beach Amusement Park which stood nearby.

The camera obscura is a rare device, based on a 15th century design by Leonardo da Vinci. It produces 360 degrees of spectacular live images of the Pacific Ocean and Seal Rock area.
