Zanesville, Ohio: Vasehenge: Giant Circle of Vases (Gone)
Zanesville is known for its pottery and was home to the now-gone World's Largest Vase. This circle of custom decorated vases appeared to have been part of a 2008 community art project; you'd find more around town.

Vasehenge has seen its better days. Cracked, chipped, crumbling, completely falling apart. One vase with a huge hole had a massive hive of yellow jackets in it. Be careful! We took advantage of this road trip stop to stretch and get a little exercise. We did an agility slalom run in and out of the vases -- we were, if you will, running the vases!

While navigating the "Y" bridge (which was curious, but not terribly exciting, since we got there after dark), we came across a circle of giant vases! Each vase is taller than a person and is painted with a unique design. Perhaps a local art contest?
At the intersection of Pine Street and 40 Highway, you can pull over into what appears to be an empty car park and get out to tour the vases. We didn't see an explanation - so we made up our own!
