Chattanooga, Tennessee - Paintball Muffler Man We went out back, and sure enough, there he was, a Muffler Man lying on his back, with a plastic garbage bag over the top half of his face, burlap squares for "eye-holes", and splattered with paintball rounds. Yes folks, he's been hit with paintballs, and he's down. But he's still there. Go check him out. We enjoyed the rare view up inside the hollow of the MM. But hopefully they'll have him back on his feet again, presumably with a big paintball gun in his hands.
Incidentally, the "goony golf" course at Sir Goony's is, in and of itself, a worthy Roadside America destination for their gigantic, nightmarish, slightly-weathered fiberglass creations, many of which are motorized. They've got a giant vampire head, an albino Buddha with light-bulb eyes, a dinosaur with a cave-man on a string, and too many other freaky creations to name. [Tony & Kimberly Paglia, 09/29/2002]
