Cement Penguin This concrete penguin was built in 1989, but it looks much older, more like it was built in the 1930s. We were unaware this was a multimedia display when we were there in 2006, so we did not hear the narration, but it was impressive just the same.
If big penguins are your thing, Cut Bank awaits you. [Gunnar Johnson, 07/17/2008]
Cement Penguin Photo of the the Penguin in Cut Bank, "Coldest Spot in the Nation." In front of the Glacier Gateway Inn; photographed March 1999. [Bob Tubbs, 07/04/1999][RA: He's 27 feet tall -- still impressive for a penguin, 10,000 lbs of concrete over a metal frame, standing on a rounded base that reads "Coldest Spot in the Nation."]
