Basket Building.

World's Largest Basket

Longaberger basket company, the ones who built the world's largest basket in Dresden, have gone a big step further. Their new 7-story headquarters just east of Newark OH on Rt. 16 is in the shape of a basket, complete with huge metal handles. I passed it Saturday, May 30.

World's Largest Basket

Just recently completed by the Longaberger Basket Co. on Route 16 just east of Newark, Ohio, is an office complex which is made in the shape of a woven basket. It is the headquarters for the Longaberger Basket co. It even has handles and makes quite a picture as you drive by. Coming from Newark, it is on the right side of the road. (Newark, Ohio is about 25 miles east from the state capital of Columbus, Ohio.)

On the left side of Route 16, out of Newark, east, is the factory, with shuttle buses and guided tours of the factory.

It all started in Dresden, Ohio on Route 60 south.( Route 60 turns right off of Route 16 a few miles east down the road from the factory.) The town has quaint little shops and restaurants and the largest _real_ basket in the world on display there.
