Not a lot left at Perry's Nut House. The mummy is still there, along with four or five dead stuffed animals and a skull with a steampunk eye patch. Kind of a letdown.

At Perry's Nut House, there are still a few stuffed animals inside, but mostly lobster and Maine-related souvenirs. The fisherman waxing poetic from his perch in a moon palace makes for a smile.
I was told the real estate "For Sale" sign out front is for the entire complex, so future looks iffy again? Stop in while you can!
Pink Floyd is in great shape.

A great stop for some tasty fudge, but Perry's Tropical Nut House is more than a tourist trap and fudge shop. It's a remnant, if just a small one, of the grand days of roadside curio cabinets that prospered in the 1930s and 1940s. Today, the Nut House still exhibits a few vintage specimens from its former Nut Museum and Menagerie of Exotic Stuffed Animals, including a case with two shrunken heads (fakes for sure), an original-to-the-building mural, and several stuffed animal heads. The gorilla, the mongoose, and the mummy are not to be missed.
It may be touristy and not be what it once was, but it's still a fun stop. Great t-shirt selection as well!
