- Southwest edge of the city. I-565 exit 17B. Drive east one mile on Governors Drive SW. Turn right (south) onto Triana Blvd SW. Drive 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Nassau Drive SW. Wade's house was the last one on the right, hidden within lots of trees.

We didn't see a fruit stand, but we did see more junk people. One of them, carved from wood, peers through bushes. Some are playing cards, some are in a wagon. Each is unique with a different head; one is made from a broom, another is a gourd. Kind of fun. Definitely unique.

- From Lemoore drive north two miles on 18th Ave. Turn right onto Lacey Blvd. Drive one mile. The dummies will be on the right, about a quarter-mile past 17th Ave.

Over 3,000 clowns, the collection of the late Jerry Eder, displayed in a pink shed. Now run by his wife, Dale Ann (who also collects clowns), it includes a clown made from a hairball found in a cow's stomach. Closed Oct. 2015.

- I-70 exit 383, drive north two blocks, then turn left onto Lincoln Ave (a dirt road). Look for the clowns on the left. Turn into the driveway. The museum is in the pink shed toward the back. If it's locked, the key can be gotten from the history museum in town.

The Gourd Place now also carries gourd imprint pottery! The owner is so nice and opened for us after we called from parking lot. A must-see, cool, off-the-beaten path stop.

- I-85 to I-985, which eventually becomes GA 365. Turn left onto GA 384 (Duncan Bridge Rd) about 20 miles north of Gainesville. Go about 15 miles, and The Gourd Place will be on your right, just past milepost 9.
