Four futuristic (for their time) homes were featured in the 1933-1934 Chicago World's Fair. They were brought across Lake Michigan by Robert Bartlett to encourage building in that area. Another came by truck. The homes all stand within walking distance of each other and represent different phases of time and design. They are situated in the Indiana Dunes National Park system and tours are periodically available. At least two of the homes are privately inhabited.
