Coronation pinball machine, 1952.

Pacific Pinball Museum

This spot has a wonderful selection of machines sorted by decade. For $15 you can spend the day there with in and out privileges. One pinball machine was released in 1952 in anticipation of Queen Elizabeth II's inauguration.

Pacific Pinball Museum

A new exhibit is opening in what was until recently called the Lucky JuJu Pinball Museum. Titled "Pinball in Contemporary Art," it features pinball-inspired works from the relatively placid "Star Pin" of Wayne Thiebaud to the adult-rated "Bronze Pinball with Woman Affixed Also" of Ed Kienholz. There's also a gallery of art that actually appeared on pinball machines.

The exhibit runs until an unspecified date, but machines such as "Teacher's Pet" and "Skylab" ensure that this museum will always be an art gallery of sorts.

Lucky JuJu Pinball Museum

Lucky JuJu has a fantastic collection of restored pinball machines and also serves as a rotating gallery for art - some of it quite kitschy. Your admission covers playing some great pinball games - including my husband's all-time favorite, the Bally Fireball.
