Visitor Tips and News About Living Memorial Sculpture Garden
Living Sculpture Memorial Garden
A very nice memorial, actually for all California verterans. A walkable and ADA accessible maze of free form sculptures. There are also some headstones worth pondering.[L. Dillon, 08/03/2011]
Just north of town on highway 97, up near Mt Shasta is the Living Memorial Sculpture Garden. A monument to Vietnam and Korean War vets. This place is quite isolated and especially nice when there is some snow on the ground.[David Waite, 11/01/1998]
The large welded metal sculptures are humanoid abstractions. Remember, there is still nothing funny about the Viet Nam War. The garden is 1 mile south of Military Pass Rd on Hwy 97, north of Weed, watch on west side for long unpaved turnout, entrance is in middle of turnout.
