Visitor Tips and News About God's Acre Healing Springs
My wife and I visit the springs as often as we can. We live in Newberry SC. What really made me a believer was the time we went there and I had a bad case of Poison Ivy on my arms. When we said a prayer we poured the water over the infected area -- it began to boil like peroxide was poured over it. We washed it clean with more water and IT WAS GONE! This is truly from God!
Just believe and it helps a lot.[James M, 08/23/2009]
God's Acre Healing Springs.....beautiful place....I met an old black man there on my one trip I made in 1969.....he said he's got well water at home, but doesn't drink it -- only God's Acre water. I got 2 gallons for my brother who was diagnosed with prostate cancer.....he is now cancer free. Going to get a couple gallons for myself this afternoon.[Steve, 03/18/2009]
I live about 100 miles east in Charleston, SC, and I know of people who swear by the spring water. I passed the sign on hwy 3 today and did a 180. I had to see it myself. While my wife and I were just looking into the stream that runs through there, a hawk flew up and landed 25 yards from us. Not a worry in the world did this hawk have. That was worth the stop alone. But the water is pure and tastes as good as any.
A old man was getting about 15 or 20 one-gallon jugs filled and said it is the only water he will drink. Said it comes from an aquifer from Kentucky. I don't know, but the trip was a nice drive.[Clyde, 03/01/2009]
The springs are off Hwy 3 as you enter Blackville. Follow the sign for Healing Spring Baptist Church, Near the little country store. The springs are getting a facelift with a new parking area and Park. The church was founded in the late 1700's and the Springs are about 150 yds south of the church.[Joe, 02/23/2008]
The person who left the comment earlier about the church with the bars on the window: You were at the wrong place. I grew up in Blackville, and the picture you took was of an old, closed down Christian book store. You should have gone the other way down Hwy 3 -- three miles NORTH of Blackville. Away from town, not into town. Just a tip next time you want to go to the right place.[Megan, 06/18/2007]
