Los Angeles, California - Muffler Man - Sergio 
Saw a Paul Bunyan, possibly of the Muffler Man variety, while driving down Cesar Chavez Blvd. in Los Angeles last week (2/12/97). About 25 feet tall, in front of some sort of auto garage, possibly a tire place. Didn't have time to check for the hand up/hand down configuration.
Looked very similar to the 35 ft. Bunyan here in Portland, OR. [Wink Junior, 02/22/1997][RA: Wink Junior's tip led to the pursuit and capture of another Muffler Man by the Roadside team. Turned out to be on Mission, 1 block North of Cesar Chavez, NE of downtown LA, and a half-mile south of the LA County Coroner's Gift shop. It's a Bunyan, all right, but with some Latin machismo.
