Slidell, Louisiana - Giant Catfish

The giant catfish in the restaurant parking lot at the north end of the US 11 bridge across Lake Pontchartrain isn't there anymore. The restaurant closed and the catfish was taken down several years ago. Hurricane Katrina destoyed the building that used to house the restaurant. [Elmo Topp, 12/13/2005]

There is a restaurant in Slidell, Louisiana on Lake Ponchartrain with a big catfish on the roof. It is adorable! Don't know if the restaurant is any good or not though. If you go down the road a piece from (about two to four blocks if the road was in blocks which it is not), there is seafood restaurant which is out of this world. [Karen Scretching, 08/24/2002]
