I spent a lot of time trying to use GPS to find this. It is not as much a "park" as it is a small court on a corner. You need to pull into the parking lot where TJ Maxx is and drive over to the furthest corner in front of Dress Barn.
[enigmah, 08/25/2015]Bizarre Memorial Park:- Address:
- Home Ave., Burlington, VT
- Directions:
- Antonio and Rita Pomerleau Foundation Park. On Route 7, a few blocks south of Flynn Avenue, southwest corner at Home Ave./Farrell St.
Pomerleau Park is quirky! Just what we needed on a rainy day of touring... Creepy statues. One hint... DON'T BLINK!
[Lea, 07/31/2015]This little park sits on a major street corner, sharing a lot with a shopping center. The entrances of the round park are guarded by statues of harpies... or maybe winged sphinxes. Looking down on the scene are more sphinx-harpies chained to tall pillars. In the summer, ivy covers them and they peer down at you from the leaves.
At the center is a small grove of trees and the queen sphinx-harpie. There are stone benches that you can sit on while you munch a doughnut from the nearby grocery store and contemplate ancient gods long forgotten and the march of time and progress while the cars flow by.
