Battle for Old Baldy's head
Two Philadelphia attractions are going head to head over the ownership of "Old Baldy," the horse of Civil War Union general George Meade. The Museum of the Grand Army of the Republic argues it lent the famous horse's head to the Civil War Library during a period of financial hardship in the 1970s. Twenty-five years later, it expects its return. The Library maintains it is now the rightful owner -- Old Baldy's head is its well-established icon -- and that the GAR can't prove definitive ownership.
The home of the head may be decided on Wednesday in "Orphan's Court," a local vehicle for resolving disputes among charitable organizations.

Worth stopping and eating at Jon's too! The address is supposed to be where Larry Fine was born, so the foods are named after the area and Stooges!
