There are two separate statues/fountains. The really large one faces the street.

The Merlion is a large statue of a lion with a fish tail, a familiar symbol in Singapore. The big statue is located in front of the Merlion Restaurant, and there is also a smaller statue in the rear of the restaurant. It's easy to spot while driving down the street.
