Bronze little dog sits in a full-size GI helmet atop a granite base. Smoky, the "Yorkie Doodle Dandy," was found in a foxhole and became "the most famous dog of World War II" for her exploits.

Rocky River Reservation

- On the Rocky River Reservation, which is on the west side of the city. From US Hwy 20/Wooster Rd turn east onto Rockcliff Drive just south of I-90. Drive on Rockcliff until it ends, then turn right onto Valley Parkway. The monument will be on the right, just past the parking spaces and baseball fields, where the trees begin.

Weird (but cute) taxidermy includes astronaut mice, a guinea pig Bigfoot, Doctor Frankensquirrel, and hundreds more. Artists Brandon and Julie Howey have dragged this dusty art-form into the 21st century, and possibly beyond.

- Buffalo, New York - World's Largest Six Pack
There is a place on your website in LaCrosse, Wisconsin, that had the world's largest six pack. We actually have a 100-foot-high six pack of Labatt Blue in Buffalo. It is a collection of old grain silos and has a brewery inside ("World's First Brewery in a Silo"), a zip line, and a beer garden.

- RiverWorks. From downtown drive south on Hwy 16/Michigan Ave. Cross over the freeway, then continue south across the drawbridge, then turn left onto Ganson St. You'll see the six pack ahead on the left.

Over 130 rusty life-size sculptures of dinosaurs, big prehistoric mammals, a few humans, and at least one sea monster, are scattered over three square miles of desert.

- From CA-78 drive north 12 miles on either Yaqui Pass Rd or Borrego Springs Rd into town. At the town's only traffic circle, continue north a little over two miles to the Sand Monster (this map point). A printed map to all sculptures can be picked up outside the town Welcome Center at 786 Palm Canyon Drive.

Better than it sounds. Exhibits include a floating car, a flying jeep, and a "Cybernetic Walking Machine," failed high-tech experimental projects. Also on display: the "Eve of Destruction" gun truck.

We've known about Buffalo's big Six Pack -- and featured it on Roadside America -- since 2014. It's a bit skinny to be considered a classic sixer (such as the one in La Crosse) but its ancillary attractions are a nice bonus.
