Taking the Shoe Tree concept to the next level, we have the underwear tree: a collection of diverse netherwear strewn on a mesquite tree.

- About 200 feet north of the entrance to the Blythe Intaglios, on the west side of US Hwy 95.

It's the spot where the beloved rocker with the geek glasses and hiccup-y voice met an early end. The site is often marked with items added by visitors.

- From the Surf Ballroom in town, drive north on Buddy Holly Place. Turn right at the stoplight onto US Hwy 18. Drive a half-mile. Turn left at the stoplight onto N. 8th St. Drive north about five miles. As the road bends left, turn right onto gravel 310th St. Drive a quarter-mile, then turn left onto gravel Gull Ave. Drive a half-mile. You'll see the big eyeglasses on the left, at the intersection of 315th St. You can park on the shoulder.

Along the sand banks of Route 66, locals and tourists leave their names or marks out of rocks along this strip. From Kelbaker Road towards Amboy, and across from the Guardians of the Desert. Also what appears to be the start of an Underwear tree.

Where visitors could at one time have seen the last pair of sunglasses worn by The King, his personal Frisbee, and his furry orange toilet seat cover. Closed forever in late 2017.

- I-40 exit 407. Follow Hwy 66 south for about about 13.5 miles as it becomes US Hwy 441/Parkway. Museum is on the right, at Parkway stoplight 2B, in the Waldens Landing retail plaza on the southwest corner of Parkway and Community Center Drive, next to the pyramid-shaped building name "The Tomb."
